The DACUM Information System (DIS) is a Windows application which will allow you to easily input, manage and print DACUM chart information. DIS will allow up to 23 duty rows for each DACUM. Each duty row can contain up to 90 tasks; allowing for a total of 2070 tasks per DACUM. Each task can be rated on a scale from one to six in each of the following areas:

• How frequently the task is performed
• How critical is the task
• How hard is the task to learn

These user definable values can assist you in determining the overall importance of the task to the job function, therefore making the task ratings uniquely relevant to each DACUM.

Along with the main DACUM chart, DIS will track the following information for each DACUM:

• General Skills & Knowledge
• Tools & Equipment
• Future Trends
• DACUM Panel Members
• DACUM Sponsors
• DACUM Facilitators
• DACUM Recorders
• DACUM Chart Validators
• DACUM Status

Numerous reports are included with DIS to allow you to print the DACUM information in a variety of different ways.

DIS also includes a simple spell checker, which allows you to check the spelling on all the DACUM charts.

We are presently working on future enhancements to DIS which will allow you to exchange DACUM information with other DIS locations.
