Archway Contract Services was incorporated in 1993, by three friends Martin, John and Bob. The intent originally was to supply to our customers a single source for all their computer network needs.  Armed with an engineer, electrician and a programmer we were able to install servers, PCs, network cables and any power circuits required.  Our programmer was able to setup and maintain the network OS as well as writing customized programs.

One of our Founders, Martin Jones, is a certified DACUM facilitator trainer and introduced DACUM to the company.  We started using DACUM to help write our program specifications focusing on how people did their work.  It was at this time we developed the DACUM Information System (DIS) to help us manage our DACUM process.  As word got out that we had developed DIS inquires came in on how to buy copies to help them manage their DACUMs.

After the dot com bust, most of our network/server work dried up.  Lucky for us most of the customers that we had created custom programs for were still around and wanted us to maintain their programs. 

At the same time, there was a shortage of electrical contractors.  Having the experts on staff, we started picking up electrical contracts for commercial and industry clients.  As our reperatation grow so did our client bases and we started to take on residential projects as well.  We are currently licensed by the Ontario government as an electrical contractor.

On May 1, 2007, Martin Jones (one of the founders) took over control of ACS when he purchased controlling interest in the company and has turned it into a family run company.

October 1, 2007 we split the electrical contracting into a division call Archway Contract Services.  All the programming work and DIS will remain with Archway Computer Services.

November 1, 2007 we launched our new web pages, our new domain names, and our new 877 number..  Also we added http://www.dacum.info/ and http://www.dacum.net/ to our http://www.dacum.com/ domain names.
